Hi all
I am new here. As like all, I am also very tensed regarding my application. I was nominated from Ontario.

In my application Status, CIC is showing this status "Application received". When I clicked here, it shows these two messages:

1. Application was received on 18 July, 2013.

2. Medical results received (Updated on October 17, 2013).

In my application, there is nothing showing In progress or anything like that. I chose my CPP-Ottawa as my VISA processing office. Anyone has any idea, how much time it may take to finalize the result? What steps are to be followed after the status "Medical results received" ? I am very tensed and confused as in the website Processing time for CPP-Ottawa is showing 16 months. I sit really going to take 16 months from now on? If yes, from when they will start counting? From July or From October? Please share your experience, as I am very tensed.

Hello guys i did send my Hard copy and permanent visa application to CIO NS... and there are no replies yet from CIC.. the DHL tracking stops at the area of last Oct 16 and still not moving "Arrived at Delivery Facility in NOVA SCOTIA AREA - CANADA" did the DHL arrived at the correct area of delivery?..

Last question how many days do the CIC will inform me that they recieved my application??

Hello shifat,
Let me explain you the whole process. Because I am also pnp applicant at cpp ottawa. Y
Your case is pretty normal. Now the next step would be that they will ask for rprf payment and some other documents, if you have already not submitted. Then after that your case will be in process. Yes it is truethat now a days ottawa is taking 16 months. You should wait a bit to complete the whole process. You can check my previous posts and will have get a clear view of the whole process.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
Regards

Thank you so much for your reply. Let's hope for

You r welcome. If you have questions at any stage, you can ask.

I talked to the assistant of MP today. I will go down on Tuesday and sign the consent form so that they can access my file on my behalf.

Tuesday is too far. Is there option of sending the form to you electronically for you to sign and scan back to them?

That's what I did in my own case here. I signed the letter stating my permission for them to contact CIC on my behalf. Then I scanned it and forwarded to him through his email.

They said they would need the original signature on it.

@Holygun..... How will it help you if I may ask? Of course, I do hope it works.
@Jizmilak - Can you do something similar to what Holygun is doing?

It won't help most probably. But I would get more info on file. Right now, No email response, nothing on GCMS... I have no other option

was it an immigration form you signed?

No. I didn't sign any form. It's the same letter I sent to you. I just signed it. Scanned it & send to them. The MP sent an email to CPP-Ottawa and they responded within 2 days with the status of the file. The MP then send an email to me with the response. It's always helpful to use MP. CIC respects them.
