Guys,

Generally when I sent an email to Ottawa I got the generic email with in 24 hrs at most 48 hrs...

This time, I have not got anything yet. Is this something good :) or should I follow up...

Also, should I apply for GCMS notes?
AGAIN!

I applied May, July, Sept... Should I go for the 4th time for this year.

You have to make sure your spouse's Security (or Security Screening) process has been started and then wait for their response. I guess you can find out the security checking status by reviewing the "Activity" section of your last GCMS notes.

I don't know what to say dude. It's though inspiring to see that you still have sense of humor after all this mess. Waiting is acceptable if somebody can tell us why exactly we have to wait. In your case, it's an endless wait for nothing. I hope you will get over this soon as possible. I am coming to this forum for you and Jizmilak. I will continue to do so until you guys are over the line. My best wishes.

When I look at activity section:

I see on May 11 for my spouse it is updated as security NOT started.

For me it is NOT started (under activity) March 2012... :)

Now what you say :) LOL

Dear Edmonton, did you get back your passport.
Are you in canada or usa.

Thanks

In the Activity section of my last GCMS notes, there is a Security activity about my spouse. They have erased its status and date but based on its previous and next activities, I guess it was in May.
Three weeks ago, when I sent them an email about the status of my Security check process, CIC said it is in progress and I have to wait.

What about your security checks?? Do they have anything on it?

Did your spouse travel to other countries but you did not?

And did you add your spouse to your application at a later date than your initial app submission?

It seems I have passed the security checks in 2012. We both have traveled to other countries several times since we applied.

I think in our cases CIC can't do anything until CSIS finishes the checks.

Same here:

On my securty checks, it is in MArch 2012 and thats the only thing in the activities section... it says not started... but that's the only trace tho. lol...

Am planing to apply for Privacy act under CSIS... I know there is a way to check with them what my file looks like on their records.

I want to give them six months to finish any type of security checks they need, so I have planed to contact CIC and CSIS in November.

I HOPE we get the PPR letter in this month. ;)
