@mehandes ... They only contacted when they sent PPR, however I did contacted them after the status changed to decision made and they replied back right away that I was approved and that was the only point of communication following April 2013.

Thank you and best of luck in your future endeavors :)

Congrats, did they ever communicate with you in the meanwhile? I mean after Apr 2013. Thank you

thank you :) no, they hadn`t contacted me until i got the ppr email.

Hi Guys,

I received my PR Approval by mail and I did my landing last night. I received my PR Approval by mail on Wednesday Aug 21st. I didn't expect it by mail only email but I think its because I dont have to send a copy of my passport. Anyway I thought I would quickly do my landing which went smoothly. The immigration officer said it will take at least 8 weeks to receive my PR card. I hope everyone receives their PR soon. Thanks for your help, it has been comforting in a very stressful time!

I got the following from CPP-O:

This refers to your application for Permanent Residence in Canada. Your file has been transferred to the Case Processing Pilot in Ottawa for further review. It will be reviewed by one of our officers, with priority given to applications that were received at CIC before September 1st, 2011.

Case Status:

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:
· UCI # – My Full Name
· Please provide our office with proof of current immigration status and current address details. This must be received at this office by: 09/22/2013

With the exception of Police Certificates, please submit the requested documents as scanned attachments and send to the following e-mail address:

ottpilot-immigration @ cic.gc.ca

All requested documents/information must be accompanied by the outgoing correspondence we have sent to you (i.e. this e-mail or a printed copy of this letter).

It's a delaying tactic. And how on earth I would provide a document on my UCI? And my file will not be touched before Sep 22, 2013. Oh well.....

They are trying to confirm where are you :)

Funny...

Edmontonbound, I exactly got the same email on friday from cppo. They give me ladt date 20 september. On thursday they received my updates police and fbi clearance certificates. The last date for pcc submission was in October 2013 and I was expecting to hear something after that but fortunately the very next day I got residence status email. It was from docpv2, where I sent pcc. Dont know what is going on. Did they ask you for some other documents begore that like redo medical, updated history or pcc etc.

@ Malisa....No, they didn't ask anything until I received this email. However, I sent them my updated history & RPRF without them asking me. Also, I changed my employer here in the US last month. Further, I was offered a job in Edmonton back in Feb. I went to Edmonton but decided not to take up the job offer. The unreasonable delay and uncertainty in PR process couldn't instill any confidence in me to make that big move to Canada. Also, per my latest GCMS notes, my medical was extended.

@ malisa...if you are on h1/h4 visa, why in your profile you say "open work permit (45 days)"? What does that mean?

I applied for open work permit for canada in december 2012 and got approval in 45 days. But I didnt go to canada on open work permit.actually I m fsw backlog reduction applicant, so we got option to apply for open work permit. Otherwise in usa i m on h4 and my huband is on h1b for last 6 years.
Another update is that today my application ecase status is in process, I sent the required immigration docs on saturday. I think now files are moving fast. You check your ecase , what does it show.
Regards

Mine has been 'In Process' since May 31! Your case is similar to me. But I went to Edmonton and came back.
