Shady: I understand that they send you an email... probably they send something wrong... the new regulations say that no matter when if you are out of Canada... and your medical expired they will ask for a new one... sorry for that.. what ever email they sent must not comply with this rule ( some officers are junior so they might give incomplete info, but when an officer checks your file they will request as it happened to you)

Do you think I should send them that I already did my medical and I attach the receipt for the medical ... Because as I know all the applicants from 2012 should have extended medical

Mondays,, any updates? :)
Does anyone know if you receive PPR by email or mail? I am from a visa exempt country which means they wont require my original passport. I don't know if this makes a difference! Has anyone already been through this and have any insight knowledge?

Thanks :)

Hi,

My PR application is under process (in AINP category). My nationality is India. I was nominated by Alberta in year 2011 (US visa holder category). This helped me obtain a work permit without LMO by HRSDC. So, I moved to Calgary from USA and currently working on a closed work permit for an employer in Calgary. Due to recent layoffs and lack of projects I decided to change my employer. I also got an offer letter from a new employer. Can I start working for the new employer while my new work permit is in process? or I must wait until it is approved. I am concerned about the process time of my new work permit because of the ongoing strike action by visa officers. If possible, please send website links regarding this issue.

Thanks in advance

Yes, You can start working when your app is in process, you will get an' implied status'
if you have received your MR/AOR from CPP-O you can actually apply for Open WP
If there is US border around, try flag polling..Google it..you may get WP on the same day
