I finally got Visas last week and now planning toland in June.

Can anybody please tell me how much fund I have to keep with me for me and my spouse only as we do not have kids.

I am planning to keep $ 6000 with me and my relative in canada going to issue me $ 10,000 draft and send me photo copy of this...I think it should be OK.

If you have already received an update, then I'm sorry to burst the bubble of hope, but that's precisely what CIC had promised. They never said they would finalize the file by May 31. I, though, sincerely hope I'm very wrong. While I appreciate all the encouraging words of my fellow forum-mates, the bitter truth is these are at best speculations and they hardly assuage the pain and anxiety of the desperately waiting applicants. The best guess is no one knows when someone will get. It may be before May 31 or may be next year. Supat (user id.) is one of the best examples. His security check took 1 year. So you know. I may sound rude, and if so, my sincere apologies.

I paid RPRF along with it sent my updated personal history in Feb. my recent GCMS notes reflected that as well. So I'm not really expecting anything for now.

Applications received before 1 December 2011 will be reviewed by 31 March 2013.
Applications received before 1 March 2012 will be reviewed by 31 May 2013.

Visas are being issued in this category. The vast majority of applications received before 1 March 2012 will be finalised and visas will be issued by Summer 2013.

I think we will hear back soon.

The only thing we can do right now is not to lose hope and be optimistic. I think everything is done from our side i.e medicals, rprf, pcc or fingerprints so lets hope to hear from them soon...

@ dee001....
Let's not ignore the devil in the details. It says VAST MAJORITY of the applications will be cleared by Summer 2013. And, I think in Canada, Summer starts on June 21 and ends on Sep 21. So essentially, they are saying the back log will be cleared by Sep 21. Well I'm not saying none won't get. Rest is assured many won't get by May 31. Hope though, I am very wrong in my prediction.
Good luck to you dee001!

@ Samlogani, Dee, Pari, Edmontonbound, prabz, Holygun...Do not be alarmed by the GCMS notes. I've come to a conclusion that GCMS notes does not actually reflect the true status of application.
In March 2013, I requested for GCMS notes & officer wrote 'to pass criminality...NRT'. I remember Edmontonbound saying 'Criminality' has been passed.
In May 2013, few days before my PPR I requested for another GCMS notes which I got yesterday. To my surprise 'Criminality' was still in progress. 'Security' is 'not started'. My wife's 'criminality' and 'security' are 'not started'. But I did notice the updated history & police certificates were updated some days after they were received. Officer updated file @ approx. 3 weeks after 'in process'.
So, I advice you all should not be worked up. Everything will eventually work out for good.
Please cheer up guys! Don't let CIC weigh you down. PPR will rain sooner than you think.
