Well, you can only get PCC from a country if you are staying on the said residential address from last one year. Legally, you can't get clearance if you are not living int hat country, however, the police in your city can say they dont have any prior complaints against you.

If CIC asks you something, in the bottom they also say that explain why cant u submit a particular document, try reasoning with them.

I think these requests for documentation is just a trick to distract us, so we dont make a media brawl...my opinion
CIC thinks we are stupid, I am saying this coz in my medical request on 25-4-2012, it was written that I will be getting PPR in 120 days and after 10 months they get back to me asking for additional docs...they asked me to submit RPRF $490, but not the passport...

Its like I go to the market, dealer takes money from me and delivers product after..dont know when...

What was the title/subject of the email, and which email address did you respond to ?

thanks

They might have actually started working on the applications, as the process times are posted on the CIC's website. However the request for PCC is just bizarre, specially for an individual who never left the country
