when did you get PPR? Did you post the news here? Congrats.

10 days after you land, you will not get your PR card. YOU can feel free to go back to your home country, but you need to get travel document to get back to Canada, if you are not from visa-waiver country or back to Canada by road with private car.

I checked the processing times for PNP application on CIC website, its 11 months now. I called cal center, talked to agent for 30 minutes and kind of got a hint that as I am in Canada my file will be opened in January end.

it was hard to get a direct reply.
