Has anyone heard of any PPRs today?

NOPE!
As usual

Today might be slow as yesterday was a holiday. Usually they assign the PPR and then send out the email the next day. Lets wait until tomorrow. This brings my wait period to three months after status changed to 'inprocess' :(

How would you apply for the GCMS notes?

Really? Canada is boring? Why did you apply for PR in the first place? Is it better in India than in Canada?

unfortunately a lot of people applied for PR as a backup country to come to when they want not because they want to live in also a lot of people do that to find better health care and better education for their kids and it was announced by the canadian government few weeks ago and they consider that as a fraud :o

Hi All,

I applied for the GCMS notes today (my first). Its been three months since my status changed to 'in process'. I hope I get some information on how long this might take from the GCMS notes (but will have to wait for a month to get that information). My work permit is 70 days from expiry. So a little worried :(

Thanks

it is very important to renew the work permit because once the work permit expires and you get into the 90 days grace period...automatically they place your application on hold....it happened with my friend ... he did wait till it expired hoping that he gets his PPR before he pays the work permit fees but they placed the application on hold until renews his wp

Was he a PNP skilled category applicant? I am trying to understand if this applicable for PNP skilled category or for all inland applicant (not having legal status in Canada)- thanks.

yes he applied under nova scotia PNP..... because once you are in the 90 days period ... you dont have a status in canada (not worker and not student) so when the officer checked his application and he didnt have a valid status in canada so he put a hold on his application until he renews his status (renew his wp) which leads to take the que again :S

Thanks shadyhashem, so under implied status they stop processing the application. So do you think its safe to renew the work permit 2/3 months before it expires and then update CIC once this approved, so the application never goes to the halt state? Thanks
