It's really confusing like People who have applied from India got Passport and Medical request together. I guess every Visa office has its procedure. In my case I have applied from US, I got Medical request first and after that I didn't hear anything from them. They closed Buffalo office and now they will process file from CPP-Ottawa, its hella slow.

Do not be optimistic dude. Mine passed almost 180 days and nothing happened. If you send them an email, they would definitely say that it is in process and you have to wait.

Cheers;

Here is my E cas: (in process)

We received your application in Nov, 2011
We started processing your application in May, 2012
Medical results have been received.

In May, I received a letter from Ottawa, said:

Applications for permanent residence in Canada in the category that you have applied have a processing standard of 10 months. If you have not received any instructions from this office by 120 days from the date of this letter, you are requested to contact this office directly.

I have already here for 9 and half month, and almost 100 days from this letter, I will contact ottawa office at the beginning of next month.

God will bless us. finger crossed.

its not quite true, when i didnt see any progress in my file while everyone from NDVO were getting medicals, i was panicked and i requested GCMS notes without letting my consultant know.

when i received GCMS notes, i forward it to my consultant and he immediately called me back and told me to not to do such stupid thing. its goes into their record for sure that we requested GCMS notes and it also raises their doubt on our file. if we apply for GCMS notes within 6-8 months or within their normal processing time, it surely put our file in their radar. which in some case causes further delay. i found pretty much GCMS notes useless, because it tells everything that i already know.

just have little patience, if GOD tests hard, he will reward generously. all we need is little more faith!!!

Hi mysteryocean, like a lot of other people mentioned, the GCMS is independent of the entire process and is only an information tool... It's similar to the RTI applications we have here in India.

This will not delay your application one bit. It might just be a scare tactic of your consultant to say that as they don't want to become "belittled"... Don't worry!

My consultant didnt say it will delay the process, all he said was, it was unnecessarily raise their doubt. it does appear on our file that we have requested GCMS notes. i googled it and read it somewhere on the same forum. requesting notes doesnt make much difference to them or us either. it neither speed up the process or delay it. its just unnecessary queries and notes request surely put you on their radar.

my consultant is quite respected one in saskatoon and he only talk to clients when its something worth. theres no financial or any other gain for him, so i dont think he would waste his time in giving me some advice which i dont need. but anyways i just share my opinion. everyone is free to interpret it the way they like.

Thank you! Theyre already working on december applicants in Manila. I wish they process applications as fast as your Visa Office. Do you have an idea how long the wait is until they encash the bank draft and then send a passport request?

manubobby,

Just want to let you know, all folks here stand firmly behind you and pray for you. You deserve every single right to get the visa sooner rather than later. Just take it easy and let the process run its course and it surely will come soon down the road.
