Yes I saw that too... Hopefully something changes next week.
The entire wait is frustrating... and what i hear is that the wait after it is 'in-process' is usually longer. The ecas for us is usually updated on Tuesdays, so hopefully next Tuesday we see something change.
I was talking to a friend who has been through the process before and he had something interesting to say. I dont know if this is true but what he said was that during the 'in-process' period, your application goes into multiple streams (background check, police verification etc) parallely. An officer checks the status on different streams and for completeness of application on a certain date. If it is not all 'Complete' and awaiting any package he would assign a new 'Carryforward date', which might be a month or two later. It is only on that date that he will review your application again for completeness. It is not as and when they receive a package or approvals that they process and close the application. So it doesnt matter if you send something by speed post because they will not go through it until it hits the assigned Carryforward date.

I dont know if anyone else has heard anything similar. But I thought I should share this with you.

Thanks
JonMonc

The process you mentioned make sense. Looking at the way they have functioned thus far is consistent with this theory. I just hope when the open our file they find everything in there and don't need to assign a new date to review it again later.

Hello QBCool, This waiting is very frustrating, but I am starting to see people receive PR (that applied nov-dec 2011), (in the trackitt.com), so, hopefully we are going to start receiving good news soon. :) :)

It is better to include all your police clearances into your application to CIO. That is true.

Few tips for sending in CIC application..

- I used sticky pad paper on each section of application and wrote clearly what document it is
- Follow the order of CIC checklist
- Don't add unnecessary documents, it might lead to more scrutiny and excess delay
- You don't need notarization of documents
- I took photos through epassportvisa.com for free and printed them off at walgreens and used a scissors to cut them to size.
- Also, if you want to change something in your application. you can strike off and write legibly or use a whitener and write on it. I did that on some items on my application.
- Make sure to use credit/debit card as a method of payment instead of checks. If you dont have a credit/debit card..you can get one for free at walmart. walmart money card. That way your check doesnot expire. I used debit card- Visa.
- Properly arrange your application using v-pins.

I will add few more tips later.. but please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I am very willing to help and give back. Hope everything sails smoothly forward.

@Rubyhero et al,

I can feel your anxiety guys but just keep believing ;) ;) ;) everything will be fine and you know what what you least expect the letters will come and the PPR will also come. Have a blessed day. Rememeber you have already gone far and no going back. The most fearful stage for me is that stage where your document could be returned.

ya guys enjoy your weekend stress free. Its on its way next week :)
