Hey everyone,
I've been reading this thread for a while and just wanted to mention one thing. Please don't keep calling CIC for every little delay; we're all on the same boat and we all want our PR. But calling them for every little thing will just cause more delay so unless you really feel like something's wrong, please avoid calling them. I mean, this CIO thing is all new and looks like it's doing the jobs faster than before, which is something. But just cause you didn't hear back from them in 1,2 months, doesn't mean that things went wrong. So please be more patient.

I agree. and I 100% agree. The uneasy feeling comes from the high but unrealistic expectation that the federal process is just like a piece of cake and they should send PPR sooner rather than later. In fact, this is a time consuming and full of uncertainty journey. The only thing we can rely on is patience. According to Joel Osteen, the priest of mega church in TX, "Do your best and what you can do, leave your hope on the altar, and let the God to take care of the rest." We have already submitted to the CIO, let the process run its course, sooner or later, we get AOR, MEDICAL, AND PPR. HOLD THE FAITH AND BE PATIENT.

hi guys, hello manu!!!
I've been very busy at work for the past few weeks and wasnt able to comment on this thread.
Manu I will try to help you on the updates as soon as I can, I can only read this forum during office hours but I cannot update the tracking sheet until I got home in the evening coz the page is blocked so please bear with me :D

Team, please be patient and just keep the faith! My file was transferred from London VO to AbuDhabi VO after 60+ days of receipt from CIO, how about that >:( Anyway, God knows what's best for all of us and we just need to be faithful and trust him with all our heart. Our PRV will be issued when you least expect it. Just think positive and keep cool. Cheers.

I just received a reply to my status request from CIO Sydney office.

They confirmed that my application was forwarded to Ottawa, ask me to contact with them lol.

Guys, I have my details on BC PNP tracker.
I applied for PR to CIO on 27th February 2012, called CIC call center. According to call center my application was received on 29th Feb and forwarded to Ottawa (as they have changed the process, they process all applications in Canada to save cost and decrease processing times) on 8th of March after verifying all the attached documents.

I never got any acknowledgement from them neither in snail mail nor in e-mail. According to call center rep, I should be receiving a letter to submit medical very soon, Just wondering anyone else is facing the same kind of dilemma, as I am.
Any other advice that can be helpful and any heads up what can I expect in future, what could be the possible processing steps going further.

Hey boss I m in the same position as u...ur in canada I guess n ur on work permit..right? If u hv work permit u can track ur file using ur client id...don't use this symbol - just put 8 numbers n ur other details u ll get info abt ur file...cheers...next step would be medical ...n if u don't mind can u share ur workpermit expiration month n year?? Can somebody share the timeline for CIC, NS to charge a credit card? Can it be preferred over bank draft? Please advise. Thanks.

It will take about 13-20 days, after they receive your application at CIC, NS.
As per this forums advice, I called the credit card and put a note that I will be expecting a 1200+ charge in the next month or so.
In my opinion, credit card is easy and best to track!!
All the best.

Hello Guys,
Same case with me. Today i gave a call to CIC call centre.Initially she refused to give me any kind of information and then later on on convincing she put me on hold and told me that my file has been forwarded to ottawa case centre and they will reply me onwards for AOR or other stuff.
Thank god atleast i listened nything from them otherwise i was bit worried as there was no aor or medical request even after 2 months.

Also guys i need ur suggestion here.As my wife is in India and she is also nominated under SINP process. So my question is IF I leave canada and go to india and whenever we get our PR we will come back here.SO whether my absence will have any impact on our PR process.

Please suggest me as i really want to go back and join my wife over there as this wait is becoming more and more frustrated for guys like me who are living seperately for a long time now.
