I read in this website (from CIC) https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=enmysteryocean said:I read CAIPS FAQs and it says immigration file number should start with letter "B" while my file number starts with "E". Is this normal? have anyone else got their file number starting with "E"?
It means Acknowledgement of Receipt..you will be getting 2 AOR's one from CIO and CEM (Manila)...check this link it will guide you through as your application progresses...lgenevyge said:What is AOR?
Hi in our country we have what we call a "late registration" by which you need to obtain an affidavit then also part of the process, there will be at least 2 disinterested persons/witnesses (somebody who knows your family but not related) who lives in your place that would certify, parents marriage cert, health records, and some public records..you will need a lawyer for this..it will take some time to accomplish all the paperwork's..I'm not sure though in India? maybe you could verify this from your government...hope it helpsEdmontonbound said:I am very sad to learn that my application package was returned as it was incomplete. The reason being the unacceptable birth certificate. I don't have birth certificate as many of us do. I provided a birth certificate issued by Indian embassy here in Houston which was based on my passport information. The letter from CIC reads that they do not accept birth certificates based on passport information. However, they do accept the secondary school certificate if it contains all the following; a. Applicant's name, b. applicant's date of birth, c. Name of parent/parents. If it doesnt have all the 3 pieces of information, then an affidavit stating the non-availability of the birth certificate has to be submitted.
Here are my queries: 1. I have my secondary school certificate (standard 10 passing certificate) that contains my name, date of birth and ONLY my father's name. It doesn't have my mother's name. Can I provide it as an alternative?
2. If I have to submit an affidavit, what is the procedure? What would be the wordings in it? Also, no one lives at the place where I was born. Does my parent have to go to the actual place of birth to obtain one? Please advise. Many thanks in advance.

In the track sheet there are 2 columns for AOR. one from CIO and one from Visa Office. I never received the AOR from CIO.
however, the AOR I got was from this email ID - re-delhi-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca <re-delhi-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca>
and a attached PDF file which states following. and at the bottom has new Delhi consulate address. Is this how other candidates also got it who have Delhi as VO?
