thanks a lot pianogyal.. maybe thats a good thing u know .. maybe they already started processing your file and they may send MR along with AOR.. keep ur fingers crossed.. :)

I hope so...I mean I was expecting e-cas status to be changed like
APPLICATION RECEIVED,
ELIGIBILITY REVIEW COMPLETE,
RECEIVED BY VISA OFFICE,
VISA OFFICE ELIGIBILITY REVIEW COMPLETE,
and then
IN PROCESS....according to the e-cas explanation.

so I got quite confused.... ::)
I hope I'll receive AOR soon, as Tokyo is supposed to be one of the fastest VO for PNP process >:(

the one you just explained above is for FSW and not for PNP applicants.. you should check applications processed outside canada

I see I see....makes sense.

I have a question if you don't mind...
you know the processing time you can find here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/provincial.asp
Do you know exactly when "the processing time" starts?
I was wondering if I should count starting the date "Application received" or "In Process"
I know it's not 100% accurate and doesnt apply for every single person but was just curious :o

these were the processing times for 80% of the applicants in the last one year and they update these every quarter.. and since we have sent our application to CIO directly, we cannot really predict the new time line as it is a whole new process...

but as mentioned in the website.. according to the old processing times.. it is calculated from the time the application is received at the visa office.. but in our case it is different.. in my case the application received CIO on 6th jan .. and and got AOR from VO on 19th march.. so I am not sure if the timeline is from 6th jan or 19th march.. however .. in the aor that I received from new delhi visa office.. it say it will take six months from 19th march for a complete evaluation on my application and not to contact them before the six month period .. which means I cannot contact them until 19th september.. I am hoping to get MR and PPR within this timeframe.. hoping for the best ... cheers.. :)

Hi folks, this is just an FYI...
Here's the excerpt from the operating manuals pertaining to "File Transfer".

For assessment purposes, visa offices receiving a transferred file must respect the original date
on which the application was received as the “lock-in” date. For processing purposes, all
processing steps for the files transferred to an office, including the scheduling of interviews,
should be the same as for all other applications received in the office on the date corresponding to
the “lock-in” date of the received file. This means that an application that is received in Paris in July 2002 and transferred to New Delhi in March 2003, would enter the New Delhi queue as of
July 2002. See also Section 5.24 Lock-in date.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op01-eng.pdf

Based on the above procedure, it seems that we can also consider the AOR date from CIO as the start of the processing period of our application and not the AOR date from our respective local VO. However, the processing timeframe still depends on the capability of each VO.
