Update on the research i did with respect to the recent processing of the applications for applicants submitted with VO as "Buffalo"

CPP-Ottawa is helping Buffalo in opening the file and generating the ref num..and sending out MR
Please note many asked a question in this forum how Ottawa is authorized to send medicals etc...
Answer: Yes thats a valid question, only VO is authorized to send MR, but since Ottawa the regional medical center to receive the Medicals records and since they working on along with Buffalo they did send the MR. For other VO's you will go with the process that VO follows. Receive the record and then request MR. (for New Delhi, you will get MR,PPR at same time after month of your initial AOR from CPP ottawa.

Regarding applicants processed at Buffalo, once your status is available online in ecas... it will be having "Application Received" and then Ottawa will update "Medicals Received" after minimum of 10working days, Ottawa will give the status to Buffalo about your Medical results (Please note, even your DMP gives "Passed" status, CIC verifies the records with immigration doctor in their facility and taken the final decision) and then Buffalo will start the processing of your application, then your ecas status will change to "In Process" and this is where the real test starts...if our file has all required documents and nothing required by Buffalo for processing your case(including RRPF) then you will get your PPR within a month or two..best case within 2-3weeks also...seen in some cases in other forums. At present Buffalo is just working on the 2011 applicants and finalizing the cases, that's why CPP Ottawa is helping on the new applications..

Also expect Buffalo to transfer your file to NY,Detroit,Seattle once they receive a positive medical response from Ottawa.

PPR from NY - anywhere between 1month to 2months after positive medicals
PPR from Detroit - anywhere between 2weeks to 6weeks
PPR from Seattle - Not sure yet..working on that
PPR from buffalo - Minimum of 2months to 4months.

Abbrevations:
PPR - Passport Request
VO - Visa office
MR - Medical Request
AOR - Ack of Receipt
RRPF - Right of PR fee

Disclaimer :Information i have it here are based on other forums, a tentative processing time arrived after seeing the PNP applicants from last year..the processing time may be less since CPP ottawa is involved(most of 2011 applicants didnt had CPP ottawa involved delayed their process)

Good job.

For the applicants with Buffalo as VO, where the doctors send the exam reports to? The address to receive the med report has been indicated at your MR? All go to the same place/office? what is the office and its address to receive the med report from the doctors?

As DMP, they have resources (like forms, address, procedure to follow etc) so the MR form sent will have just the office code "eg: my case it was at the top right corner "CPP-Ottawa" since my medical examination is inside Canada(as a whole NA send to CPP-Ottawa)

Saying that for example, if your VO is Saudi or Delhi, and you currently inside Canada/any part of the world..your DMP will follow the instruction in the medical forms to send the records..so if your vo is Delhi then sending it to CPP-Ottawa will not help you..so you pay the extra international courier charges to the DMP they will send it to Delhi(since Reguional intake for Medical records for India is New Delhi).

Also please note, sending your medical records to VO is not correct...your VO dont process your medicals....especially New Delhi applicants, your VO and Regional medical intake office is New Delhi, so your case is different...but DMP knows where to send your document, and your Medical forms will come with which office to send, you can see that in top right corner of the page..dont ask DMP to send to difference office...that might result in delays...

1) my VO is buffalo, where the exam report should be sent to? I am in the U.S.
2) do I need to present photos to DMP? what is the photo specifications? must be Canadian passport size? or visa sizes? they are different sizes though.

As I mentioned earlier for any country in north america your intake office is ottawa...your dmp is aware of this as your medical form will have the office code printed...cpp ottawa.....reg photos, if your form sent by cic has a phot then take 2 passport size photos...call the DMP they will clearly tell how many photos and size is passport only

Thanks Manubobby,

Two bank drafts were encashed on Jan 16, 2012.
My family has 3 peoples. The PF for my son, my wife, and me is worth CAD 1,250 ( 550 + 550 + 150 = 1250). And the RPRF for my wife and me is worth CAD 980 (490 + 490 = 980). But in the AOR, they confirmed that received CAD 1,740, maybe they did not count the RPRF for my wife (CAD 490), I do not know why?

Cheers.

thanks tienna.. done and updated.. cheers :)
