It doesn't matter as long as the document is notarized by a duly authorized individual.

I also got my bachelor and master in China. My suggestion is if immigration office ask for verified copy version, just do it. Or else, you may be asked to do it later. You just need to take the original one to the notorized office (公证处) in your city and they know how to do that.

Did you send Birth certificate, Chinese National ID and household registry book to CIO?

1)For birth certificate, I did not have one because there is no birth certificate issued to the people at my age. It simply did not exist then. I do not know if the new born baby will get birth certificate now in China. What I have is I got the public notary office to let them certify my birth date, birth place, and my parent name. They were translated and notarized with affidavit. Do you think it is ok?

2) I had National ID but it got lost and it also expired if I still have it. Since I have been in the US, I did not get chance to renew. So, I did not have "valid" ID per the checklist. If I did not submit it, will be a problem?

4) I am not sure I need to submit registry book.

a52411940. could you share the way to handle these requirements? Thanks, Happy Chinese new year.

Hi Everyone,
I have a problem with the form IMM0008. As soon as I filled out the answer to the question #10 (USA as the current country of residence), the question 11 will be blocked and I cannot type information for the date I last time visited Canada. If I fill out question 11 first, the information for question 11 will disappear as soon as I give answer for question 10. How to resolve this issue?

1. Birth certificate. I always use the one I got from notarized office and it works good. It is exactly like what you said.

2. I also did not submit my National ID due to similar issues with yours. This also applies to registry book. My friends who already got PR did the same thing.

More question about the no time gap for Schedule A form.

07 1990 –10 1996 --> 11 1996 – 03 2001 vs.
07 1990 –10 1996 --> 10 1996 - 03 2001

The top line will be regarded as " time gap" because there is "gap" between 10 1996 and 11 1996? The bottom line is "seamless" and no gap? I am just too analytical, but it is really a question for me. Please help.

I think question #11 is meant to be answered if you select Canada in question #10. In my case too, India is the current country of residence, question 11 gets blocked.

yes, you are right. If I select Canada for question 10, question 11 will NOT be blocked. All other non-Canada selection for question 10 will lead to question 11 blocked. Thanks!!!

There is not enough space for me to type the name of university I attended for Schedule A. Some information will be lost. How to resolve it? I have to print it out and fill out manually? and type as many as I can for other entries the form space can take? Thanks.

Yes you can type it out on a different sheet, make the table chart similar to the form.

hi guys,

does birth certificate translation needs to be an affidavit?

in my case, there is a sentence saying: the translation is in conformity with the original. I guess it is affidavit. should be enough.

The timeline for my case:
30 Dec. Document sent to Sydney
16 Jan. Money taken from my Credit Card
Now waiting for medical examination notice

Plus: I am applying in the category of Quebec skilled worker program

a52411940, so your money has been cashed?

One last & final check on the documents.
On the generic form in the contact information section, if the columns like street no. or Po.Box are not applicable to me, should i write N/A?

Thanks.
