A friend of mine has been asked by our beloved CIC to re-do medical tests for his wife and kid. But that's not real shocker. What's shocking is his wife and kid underwent medical in June, 2012. Take a bow, CIC.

As my friend correctly quipped - "It sure will be a fluke if we get PPRs if at all".

Oh wow, that is a shock...Seems like they are just looking for excuses to delay our files and focusing on applicants who recently applied i.e Nov-Dec 2012...

hi guys if I haven’t been back home since i have applied does the VO will still ask for a police certificate from back home????

i cant f..king believe that nobody is getting ppr.What the f..k?If they arent issuing pprs for january/february i am afraid to think about may.Motherkissers

I got that email when i asked about my status;

Thank you for your message concerning your application for permanent residence.

Your file has been transferred to this office in Ottawa for processing. It will be reviewed by one of our officers, with priority given to applications that were received at CIC before 1 September 2011.

Medical results: Please note that we will be requesting an extension of the validity of these results, to minimize the number of applicants who will be required to undertake new medical examinations.

Hi Dee01,

Were you able to view the attachment for your Medical? My friend did receive the same email about her Medical being extended if she is in Canada, however, her dependents were asked to redo Medical because they're outside Canada. What she did was send an email, seeking clarification and mentioning the email about extending if you are within Canada. Mentioning the details of her Medical, where conducted and attaching the receipts. Again mentioning that she has not received an attachment for re-doing the Medical. The VO responded immediately and advised that she need not re-do her Medical.

Hope this helps

Very bad!!!.. I think the same is going to happen to me, but with my home country police certificates... . In my GCMS notes In January 2013 an Officer wrote NOTE: Please request PC for home country. And last week somebody requested them without checking that were received in feb. What are they doing????? And then have everybody in standby!!! They ask for papers, money and NOT PRs...... Really Frustrating >:( >:( >:( >:I just request them.. Then I have to pay for translation and delivery charges for second time, and I haven't been in my country since 2004. I ask them but Not replied!!!!

Thats normal procedure for them :)

I send them 2lbs weight of document for my spouse.. They asked for the same documents last friday. Even tho on my GCMS it says they have received everything :)

Hey guys, just wanted to reiterate what some have already said....make sure you contact CPP via email if there's something fishy or not expected with your file (i.e. medicals asked when you haven't left the country). They are sending generic emails out without regard to specifics. If you think something is off, send them an email. If the email has merit, they will actually act on it. This was again confirmed to me yesterday. I received my ppr several weeks ago and send them my passport same day. I had not heard back and it's been 3 weeks already so I emailed them (very kindly) and said I were to travel soon and was wondering if I should cancel since my passport is taking so long to get back to me. I got a response in the evening that my passport had been sent. So this whole time, it's been sitting in some pile and if I had not brought their attention to it I would have most likely waited until the 60 days they gave me to look at my case again. It's unbelievable but we've got to work with what we've got so...just a quick hint for when you do get your PPR's...which i soon for you all. I understand and shared your frustration (didn't hear anything between may 2012 and April 2013!)...just hang in there a lil' bit longer!

my status changed to "in process" after 14 months...

Anyone got PPR lately?
