Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your message concerning your application for permanent residence.

Your file has been transferred to this office in Ottawa for processing. It will be reviewed by one of our officers, with priority given to applications that were received at CIC before 1 September 2011.

Medical results: Please note that we will be requesting an extension of the validity of these results, to minimize the number of applicants who will be required to undertake new medical examinations.

Case status:
An officer will be in contact with you in due course. In the meantime, we would ask for your patience and for you not to send follow-up requests for status to our office, unless you fall into one of the categories listed below.

When should I contact CIC?

You must notify Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include:

• Changes in your personal circumstances, such as birth or adoption of a child, death of a family member, a marriage or a divorce;
• Change of contact information (e-mail, mailing address, telephone number);
• Appointment or change of immigration representative or designated individual;
• Decision to withdraw your application.

You have the option to withdraw your application at any point in the process. You will be refunded the RPRF if you have already paid it.

Need more information?
For more information concerning your Application status, you may refer to the CIC Help Centre online at

PNP (Prvincial Nominees Progarme) ........so PNP of any province is under this time line.

I will be waiting another month then I will apply under CEC. I will also ask Ontario PNP to refund my money back since there is no priority given to PNP applications.. That was their motto... U will get a faster processing... Pay us 1500$ !!! U will get everything Quick!

What a lie!

As I said I will most likely send a CEC application...

I had sent email to CPP-Ottawa regarding timeline issue, they didn't reply :( :( :( :(....according to timeline ppl who have applied in June or July 2012 shd get get PPR after Aug 2013, how come they got PPR in Jan, 2013....honestly I dont trust CIC ppl, they always give false info its been proved so many times....I guess Canada need to make its Immigration process more streamlined and transparent.....they said opened Ottawa office for faster processing...lol

I am not sure its the right forum to discuss or not?

I was wondering with 2 years B class Canadian job expereince and some PG studies, can I apply for American residency?

ANy thoughts / guidelines will be much appreciated as I am tired of Canadian Immigration proces, just a waste of money and time. I believe instead of applying under CEC, and wait for 13 months, why dont just apply for US immigration

I am not sure about the categories / classes and candian experience, wiill that count?

No you can't under ordinary circumstances. Most of the time you must find an employer to sponsor you. For that you must obtain a job offer with a US company. Then the process starts. And if you're from India or China, I will recommend not to take this route.
