Does anyone know if, once we get the PPR from the Detroit/Los Angeles/New York VO, we could simply go there and have our passport stamped - just like Buffalo? Or we really have to send in our passport? I was thinking of going to the VO and land on my way back instead of waiting for three weeks or more for my passport to come back...

You can check in their web sites but this is the information found in th Detroit Consulate "Attention:

The Canadian visa office in Detroit no longer offers same-day non-immigrant services. Applicants for Temporary Resident Visas, Temporary Resident Permits, and Permanent Resident Travel Documents must submit applications by mail only.

If you applied for permanent residence in Canada and you have received a notification from our office, the Case Processing Pilot Office in Ottawa or the Canadian Consulate General in Buffalo requesting you to submit your passport(s) to our office you may do so in person on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s between 8:30 – 11:00 am. Your passport(s) may be returned to you the same day. You must bring the notification with you.". I hope this work for you...

probably, when u hav filled ur application, u fill up both of the column current address as well as ur mailing address with same address. u hav to fill only one column, but dont hav to worry about anything. if still, then call cic

My application was recieved by CIO on 26 jan, I got an mail from New delhi VO on 26 march after that no mail nothing.

My status change to in-process on 24May, But till now i have not recieved any mail for madical.

Please let me know what should i do? Is there any number where I can call and get some information.

What it shows when you check on CIC website is it inProcess ? if yes from which date ?

Mine is showing inProcess from 24 may along with address that came on 8 june

I have received an email today from my VO saying that they have received my additional requested documents that I have sent May 22nd 2012, and they will foreword my application for further processing but nothing about medical or anything else these are updates hope you all doing ok with your application Manu I am originally from Libya but they have asked me to send my application to the NS visa office because I live here and I am under the PNP I was so busy sorry for the late reply ;D

Good to hear that, hope you will hear good news regarding your medical. Its my turn, I should expect an email form them stating that my missing document is received.... by the way my documents were received on May 31.
