I read here a lot , people are over concern about DMP sending their medicals as soon as possible, some people are even paying extra to speed up the sending medical reports. One thing nobody is paying attention is, its not medical that delays the PR. its criminal / background check, which takes up most of time for processing PR application.and CHC start background check as soon as they take file to process and send MR. so even if consulate receive Medical report couple of week late it doesnt matter at all. coz background check takes a way longer than that.

Hey Delsa and Ariza!

Congraz guys! Wonderful news :) stay healthy, and hope you get your PPR sooner!

Thanks Mysteryocean!
Question: Are you sure the background check starts as soon as the MR is send. Because in my understanding the status would change to 'In process' when this happens and that hasn't happened either:(

personnel who run background check and personnel who change status on site are different and they work on their own pace. application status is not necessarily updated and exact date. we can see our status even few days after receiving AOR. so these 2 sections work independently.

When exactly do they ask for the Right of Permanent Residence Fee ($490)??? I have not included the RPRF in my application to Nova Scotia since it was not on the check list, it also was not asked when i did my medicals. Anyone?? :o :o :o :o :o

They will ask you for that with your passport request.

Thank you for the reply, Canman! This will give me some peace of mind. is this the procedure for just your visa office or does that go for every one else's V/O?
