It means that you already passed 17 months. Have you contacted CIC? Because once they exceed 17 months processing an application, the Call center agents can help you with that.

Sorry, I'm november 8, 2013. I got IN Process Feb 25, 2015 and got DM Mar 30, 2015.
It begins a day of 18 months today.

Wow! So there are still Nov. 2013 applicants files that are yet to be approved? I dont mean to sound disrespectful, but I hope mine will not take this long. If I may ask, is there any specific reason for the delay on your files?

Thanks!

Hi Jeremyjang71, we are on the same boat. I am November 15,2013 applicant and My ecas is still IP since feb 12, 2015. I called Cic and the agent said, call them again if I dont receive update until april 15. Have you tried to call cic?

I cant understand CIC....There are people who gets their PR in less than 12 months. And some get theirs in almost 17 weeks or more...That is really frustrating. I will understand it more if they are accurate in processing time of each and every applications....Feels like everybody is in the roulette and whoever they hit first, then they get their precious PR (SMDH)

Just this morning I was wondering how CIC works/functions. With execeptions to those that have complicated applications, there are so many other applications that are less complicated but for no reasons are being delayed to get PR. Or do they think they are doing us a favour by allowing us to live and work in Canada? And as a result we have no say as to what happens during the process. I have heard read about countries coming to Canada to learn about their immigration process for thr purpose of bettering theirs. Again, one tends to wonder if this is what is what they say is one of the best immigration processes in the world, if not the best. How is it possible that some 2013 applications are yet to completed and some 2015 applications have long been done? I still find it very hard to fathom.
Even the call centre agents don't help matters sometimes when you call them. Well I don't blame them because they have never been in a situation where they have to move to another country for greener pastures, not to even talk about experiencing what we are passing through. It is true that nothing good comes easy but then I still believe there should be some level of transparency with the way CIC operates.

Just my thoughts this mornng!

Hi Phsve!

have u tried calling CIC and asked the reason behind that.18 months wait? That is so unacceptable already. They should be accurate and true to the information that they put in their website. Maximum processing time.is 17mos only

Hi tinacraigg, yes I called CIC. My application is on its 17th month on April 15. The agent did not give update since my application is still within the 17 months processing time. They will only give upate if application exceeded 17 months.
