hy all
this is ks from edmonton canada.i came here on a work permit visa as a regisrered nurse.i have started working from feb 2009.i and my employee have applied for the pnp in july.but i got sick and had major surgery.now i am on a short term disability.and will again start work in feb.pnp guys have sended me an eamil regading my current status of job.i am confused now weather short term disability would create any trouble for pnp?

second question is that i m living in canada since 2008 and i wanted to go back to country to visit my family.but my work permit states single entry only.so does it mean that i cant come back to my home country ?if this is the case than is there any possibility to talk to embassy.

i will appreciate ur suggestions
thanks

Dear,

Sorry to know about your condition.

Not sure, what to say about the first question ..

For the second, if it is single entry then it means you need to get visa to come back .. As far as you have a job, stating that you will be starting in Feb. you should be good to get the visa to come back from the consulate. I'll leave for others to comment.

Dear KS,

I am so sorry about the circumstances that you are in right now. so single entry means only you only o ne entry and if go out of the country, you must get a new entry. pliz try applying for a multi-entry that allow you to go in and out as you wish. on the second question, call me PNP in Edmonton or email them to let them know of your current situation. explain that you are only on a short disability and will be back as soon as you recover. pliz explain to them before your visa expires and also if i were you, if you are sure, you will not get a multi entry visa, then dont go to your country. finish the process of PNP and get your PR before heading home.
I hope this helps and May God bless you. get a quick recovery. cheers.

hy thanks guys for ur reply.
my visa is good till may,2011 but it has single entry only.so is that necessary to apply for the multiple entry from home country only?hw about if i apply for the multiple entry visa from canada.
secondly,i have already informed pnp guys about my current condition.they inquired me that if i have change my employer or change my profession. but i am also uncertain that due to my short term disability they will refuse my pnp application.

thanks
