I graduated with a Diploma from UBC in Vancouver, BC in September of 2015.

I am looking into PNP as an option. However, with that being said, does it state that you need 2 years of work experience to be able to qualify here? It doesn't state this. An immigration lawyer that i spoke to today said you need 2 years of work experience but i don't think he took into account that i am a UBC graduate. I think he made a mistake

Anyway, can i apply for PNP based on this? It has been less than 3 years, and while i don't have 2 years of work experience yet, i might be able to do this.

Thanks a lot for the help.

Your immigration lawyer is wrong. It clearly states that you must have a full time job (from eligible employer) in Skill level A or B in BC and not any specific length of full time work experience. However, you are running tight on the graduation timeline as you have until September this year to apply for this program. Better apply ASAP. If you have 1 or more years of full time work experience, I'd suggest you to apply under Express Entry - BC International Graduate stream. Don't rely on your lawyer, just create a profile on BCPNP website and apply as early as possible.

I have a job offer, full time from an eligible employer, but its only for a year's contract. That is my worry. I need to ask them to give me a full time job with no end date. I am afraid they will not hire me if i make such a request.

Could you share what happened later?
