PNP BC paper application. How long did you all wait for passport request after medical?

Hi there :)

I cant seem to find a recent thread about this. I am an inland applicant

- received AOR 10months ago
- received Medical exam request 3 months ago
- CIC received my Medical results 2 months ago

And I am waiting...

My permit expires in 4 months so I will soon have to apply for extension, if I dont receive my PR in 2 months or so. I am from a EU/visa exempt country so I will probably receive a passport photocopy request. (?)

Please post how long after you medical did you receive your passport request and PR. :)

from what I'm seeing in other threads it generally takes 2-4 months after MR to receive the passport request. Given that everything is normal with your application (i.e. no extensive security screening).

Any updates for ur PPR?
 
None. Its been 3 months now since they received my medical, and my work permit expires in 3 months, in November.
I am planning on extending it this week, that way I am covered for another year in the unlikely event of my PR being denied. God willing, it will not happen.

Everything will be fine. I just got my PPR on Aug 1

As an inland applicant on work permit did you provide PCC for the countries that you have lived in?
When I applied for my work permit I had already submitted PCC for all countries that I lived in but now my UAE PCC has expired as it's valid for only 3 months and UAE police is only willing to email me my new PCC.
As per the document checklist I'm supposed to provide original copy which is not possible.
I'm currently on work permit in BC, is it still necessary that I provide PCC or a letter of explanation as to why I can't provide one?
Any advice would be great.

Nice! Maybe I will get mine soon too. I passed mine April 30.
Then again Canada is the 6th country I have lived in, so mine background check will take longer than usual.

I didnt provide any police certificates when applying for work permit renewal. CIC has asked me for a new police certificate since, with regards to my PR application. I am sure the others are due to expire soon too, but I am not worried. As long as my IELTS test does not expire haha I think its valid until December this year, I will definitely get the answer by then.
