through canada post/DHL

o man, i was thinking of submitting passport in person, so i would be stuck there if any dont get any reply from delhi visa office once i submit my passport. :(

Hi All

Why is CIC Ottawa so slow for PNPs. PNP is supposed to be faster. My medicals have been received since August but nothing yet. Waiting for PPR yet.

Common how long should we wait. I think they are mainly concentrating on CEC class these days. One of my friend got stuck in India . Its been 2 months he sent his passport to NEw Delhi but have not heard anything yet.

Waiting is ridiculous. I dont know what are they waiting for.

i understand bro, its going to be a hard pill to swallow, but submitting your passport via mail is a big risk, its better to submit your passport by going to India. the most sad part is that even in India you can't submit the passport via hand, you have to mail them via registered post or a courier, in my case back in feb 2012 when i went there to submit my passport by hand, they turned me back saying " we only accept documents via mail or courier", though i had confirmed it from the lazy call centre of CHC New Delhi that "can i submit it by hand" for which they told me " YES you can " Now i don't know it was the Security Incharge on the main gate or it was the call centre rep, one of them for sure was frustrated with life. Still i would suggest you to go to India with your passport. Read the previous posts of me and you would learn a lot from my crazy experiences with CHC.

The Passport and Passport holder should always be in same country

Hi All,
I know, that the safest way to get your passport to NDVO is by going to India and couriering it yourself from there and waiting for it to be returned to you.
But my question is, that if the NDVO takes too long to return it, like 6 months, will there be any problem with my PR, will CIC or the PNP office here create problems saying I wasnt in Canada working while my PR was in process.
My employer is willing to keep me in the payroll while i am in India waiting for the passport. Please help, anyone. Thank you.

Once you get your passport call then there won't be any issue, they ask for passport only once they have decided to give you PR.
And i guess you are going to India from Canada, i have seen that for people who are already in canada, for them they process passport stamping faster. Its for the people who are already in India THAT they take longer time, for you they won't take longer than 2.5 months.

Good Luck !

Thank You, your help is really appreciated. I was stressing a lot about this.

You are welcome bro, i am just giving you a heads up, after you submit you passport, if you don't get ur passport within 2.5 months send them a case specific enquiry, with the case specific inquiry option you would be able to upload some document also and send it to them (like we send emails with an attachment). so when you are sending a case specific inquiry send them a SINGLE pdf file which contains your job offer letter from Canada, you last payy stubb which you would get before leaving canada and your return flight tickets details, this thing helped me when i was stuck in india for 2 months due to my passport.

Use the link to send them a CASE SPECIFIC Inquiry :
https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=new%20delhi

Don't send this til you need it !

Good LUCK BRO !
