PNP applicants to cic-Accra

Hi guys,

Please I need your advise on a thought that is running through my mind over my PR application.

I am an Ontario PNP application and I have received my CIO AOR late January 2013. I had indicated London VO on my form as I presently live in the UK. With the benefit on hindsight I should have chosen accra VO as it now appears accra VO will be relatively faster than London VO.

I now want to request that my file be transferred to Accra VO - any thoughts on how I can go about doing? Write to CIO NS or London VO? Any thoughts/experience here will be highly appreciated.

You will find that due to residence in the UK, and the fact that UK PCC will be supplied, security and background check will still involve the UK CIC so you may not get the advantage you are looking at. For Naija based applicant, Accra is definitely faster.

What's happening in Accra VO? My family and I had our medicals over a month ago but we have not heard from them.how long does it take between MR and PPR?

From experience under the FSW category, PPR from Accra has typically been between 2-4 months after medical, all things being equal.

I believe PPR after medicals is a lot faster for PNPs. It used to take 6/7 months but is now about 2/3 months. Cetainly not more.

The fact that the FSW window hasnt been opened in over a year has made things faster at Accra.

Yes I am Nigerian but I work in Canada on a Work Permit. Please can anyone help me with my question with regards to sending a passport down to Accra to obtain a PR visa

Did you get medical request from CIO or Accra. I chose Accra VO but I reside in canada on work permit but my medicals came from CIO sydney, so I don't know if they will still send my application to accra or Ottawa.

My people, praise be to GOD, Accra VO sent us the PPR yesterday evening. Our medicals were done at Asaju in December 2012.
This has been a long journey that started in October 2007. I am one of the backlog applicants that got selected for the FSW backlog reduction pilot. It is a miracle, that has God's hands written all over it. To qualify for the pilot, the provinces had to select from the FSW database, applicants who indicated that province as their destination and who were professionals in areas were skills shortages were being experienced in the province.
The other hurdles included getting a letter from the professional body in the province to write a referral of sorts and then the ielts. The Tory long but I will catalogue God's faithfulness in another post.

My people, the gates have been open, I hear the PPRs coming.

i got my medical request from cio we seem to have the same timeline. last time i callled i was told my file was still at sydney i just pray they send it to accra and not ottawa. Will keep u informed if anything changes
