Greetings PMM and other seniors.
First of all i echo all the thanks you receive on a daily basis for helping the flock of immigrants who seek your advise. Guys like you keep us alive in these stressful times, and i am very grateful for that.
I am a quebec selected applicant and my file is in a stand still with CIC abidjan for now nearly 8 months. I already passed the medical exams 8 month ago and every time i make a case specific request, i get the same templated message asking me to wait bla bla bla. I have provided them with everything they've asked of me, and it is very oh so very stressful to read the same message over and over again without any indication as to where the knot may be.
Funny thing is, it turns out i am not the only one in that position. A few other applicants are begining to rant about this unbearable silence from CIC Abidjan. You can venture in other french speaking forums and read all about it, but i have pretty much covered all their complains.
My questions are the following then dear sirs:
1) Is it possible that CIC abidjan doesn't have any available immigration officers to finalize PR applications?
2) Can other immigration officers finalize a file or is there a 1 file--1 IO rule?
3) Finally what can one do to get the information about what;s holding up our cases. (i doubt CAIPS could help, but tell me if im wrong).
Sorry for the run on sentences, but i am suffering from intellectual diarrhea and i have only one cure in mind...
