...the call to come and pick up the PR visa for a Family Class Spouse case? Do you know what is considered an "average" time? I've seen 3, 4, 5 weeks on trackitt.com, (more for Parents/Children of course). Any knowledge of average wait times in the various offices? Lima Peru?
I'm disgusted with the Cdn Embassy in Lima Peru. It took 19 months for them to get to the stage to call my husband for his renewed passport for the final evaluation. Now 10 1/2 weeks later still nothing.
Thank you for your input.

1. No idea in your case.
2. Get your MP involved, from the amount time that is being taken, you are going to have to be pro active.
3. I assume that you ordered the CAIPS notes?

thanks PMM. I just wrote to my MP's office yesterday to get them involved for a SECOND time on this since there's a standstill again. They had pressed for some answers for me back in Nov. I will also phone tomorrow, the assistant I had been dealing with before may have moved on so I'll call.
I also just found out about, and sent an enquiry in to the 'Case Specific' enquiry site for the Lima office , no timeline given as to a reply but it's another way to submit an enquiry. For anyone else who's case is overdue and they want to send an enquiry the site is:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions.asp
to find your processing office. You will be led to a form to submit your info.

I have not ordered the CAIPS file, was about to at one point then things were moving along again. I know it has been given out many times before but does someone have the info. 'again' where to apply?

thanks all.

P.S. I just read where Canada and Peru signed off today on the new free trade agreement AT the Embassy. I'm sure for the last few months they've been preparing for the ensuing celebration, and ignoring immigration case files!!

Re: CAIPS form questions

I have found the CAIPS form, have some questions if anyone with the experience can answer.

>Requester's Reference no. = What is that, is something needed?
ATIP file number?
>Request For - Just CAIPS? This is not for a visa file. Or should the visa one be checked to get both as CAIPS is included? We wouldn't have a visa file no. though.
>What is FOSS? Necessary for this type of enquiry?

Nothing else really fits, GCMS/citizenship. Medical/x-rays - don't have file no. for those.
No landing record.

thanks.

Hey LCS

Where did you find CAIPS form? Would you do a favour and make the link available for it?

Thanks

1. Not required (I assume you have Authority to Release of Information to an Individual)http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/release-info.asp
2. You just want the CAIPS file, the file number is the one starting with B and 9 digits.
3. FOSS only pertains to in-Canada, you don't need it.
