plzzz tell me how we get file number?

my file submited by my consultant on 19 nov
i asked him for file number
he said that will come on my mobile nmbr from embassy
is it right? or he dont want to give me file number.....!!

and u will get it on ur phn
but they also knw ur file no so u may ask them for that
if they submitt ur file tn they will provide u
