Hello Everyone....

I got my student visa approved for 8+8 month program for Jan 2015 intake and currently studying in Ontario province. I will be finishing my first 8 month program by August. I would like to change my second program, hence applying to different colleges in Ontario and other provinces too for a 1 year graduate certificate program.

My doubt is...

1. Few people told me that If I finish my second program in any other province (for ex. Alberta), then while applying for my PGWP people may consider my one year studies in the new province but not 8 month studies in Ontario and they may issue only 1 year PGWP. Is this true?

2. Is it mandatory that I should complete my two programs in one province only (in my case Ontario) to be eligible for 3 year PGWP?

3. Is it possible for me to get a 2-3 year PGWP even if I complete two programs in two different provinces?

Please help me guys.. I'm worried about this.. I don't want to fall into new trouble since I have taken lot of efforts to reach Canada. :-[

I hope to get some answer for my questions soon...Your answer will help me in taking the right decision.

Thanks in advance.. Have a nice day..

Thank you Aman for a positive reply.

I have checked the CIC website for any recent changes in PGWP rules and regulations but there are none..

So...I can take up two different programs in two different provinces and there won't be any problem na... I just want to confirm this as my life depends on this decision.

What do you suggest..is it a good idea to continue in anther province? Your opinion please...

By the way.. What are you doing? Are you a student or working on PGWP?

The only thing to consider about studying / working in more than one province is that, if you plan to apply for PR through PNP, some provinces don't like you having studied/worked in a different province.

For PGWP it shouldn't be an issue.

Bro, did you get your PGWP for 3 years eventually? I am in the same situation now, and there are also people telling me that I wont be able to get the 3 years PGWP for studying in 2 difference provinces... Ontario and Alberta
