Plz help: How to explain my one year study gap after 12th cuz I dropped engg?

Hello,

After my 12th, I wasted one year because I got admission into an engineering college, attended 2 months of college (August - September) and then decided to quit and move to Commerce (B.Com.) because I found it too hectic. But by then, it was too late for B.Com. admission in that year so I had to wait till June of next year.

In the student questionnaire I have to fill along with my study visa application, I want to explain this study gap of 1 year. My agent explained the whole period OF 1 YEAR as "WAS PREPARING FOR ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAMS BUT FINALLY DECIDED TO GO FOR B.COM" !!!

I think that sounds too stupid, that I would prepare for entrance exams for 1 year. Do you guys think that's fine or I should put up an alternate explanation? Any advice would be highly appreciated.

How? I wasn't preparing for entrance exams, I was already studying in an engineering college.

Hmmm... I see your point. I think the best thing is to be honest. Explain that you got admission in an engineering college but your heart was on commerce. But you'd already missed your chance to apply for the current academic year.

If you worked or did something else during the period, mention that.

People waste one full year preparing for entrance exam? I doubt.

Hey i did my 12th in 2016 and i gave aipmt test unfortunately i couldn't crack it and couldn't take admission in mbbs that was my dream . I was late to take admission , thats why i started to take computer classes that would be help me in my future . Due to family pressure , i took admission in Bsc non medical as i m student of supemedical stream. Bt i was not interested . I left college and gave IELTS exam . After that i got marry wd my lover boy . In 2019 i applied my case i got refusal on the basis of purpose of visit .

Hi Everyone,
I have completed my 12th in 2015 with 90%.
After that I started working Initially in an Indian Organisation as a Colleague and then promoted to functional manager within 2 years, left the organisation after 2 years and joined a corporate co. as a Sr. Associate Ops. (Travel And Hospitality) for 1year 4months . After That Certified as a Digital Marketer from an Institute with a 6 month course. I've applied for Hospitality Program, Deposited Fees and Done with GIC, Everything is done but is there anything I've to keep in mind before applying visa. Because there is Approx 4.5 years of study Gap after 12th as I was working.
Please help as per your experience.
