firstly just apply for ur studypermit when u get ur visa then apply for ur spouse from canada definetly u achieved!!!
if u apply together definetly u refused!!!!

Yes of course you can go but there will be a little bit more investigation on your application, they probably might require you to show extra funds because they want to make sure that you wont go over there and than invite your family back in Canada as student visa is a temporary visa not a permanent visa.
