Applied for Visiting visa 1st week in June through an agency, got a scanned visa 1st week in August. But noticed my last name was a different name. So they had to resubmit d visa to the embassy August 23rd. But since then, not heard anything. Has any1 gone through this or has an idea of whats going on? Thanks

'Scanned visa'? The counterfoil of a TRV is stamped/glued in the applicant's passport.

Do you have your passport or have you submitted it?

Yes....it was stamped on my visa..... But it is through an angency, thats y i said it was scanned *Right now, the passport is @d embassy coz of the error in d name* but its a month now dt its sent back

Ahh, okay now it makes sense!

You can request your agent to email the visa office. It normally, does not take a month to reprint the visa..... unless the visa office is in a different country

It rarely happens although all due steps and checks are taken. It is also possible that your agent filled your visa application form incorrectly i.e. not as per your passport
