Im just arrive here in Surrey BC last april 2. Im a new immigrant. And applied MSP last april 7. It takes 3months before i get my healthcard. I'm already 33 weeks pregnant. So soon I will give birth. Any idea how much it cost giving birth in the hospital? I just came from Philippines. Thankyou

So your healthcare will start on July 1. It's too bad you didn't arrive Mar 31, then your healthcare would have started June 1.

If you did a very simple natural delivery in a hospital, the basic cost is probably in the $3-$5K range. If there are any complications or a c-section requiring an extended hospital stay, the costs can quickly jump to $10K and more.

You can also try to contact your local midwife offices, as they may be a much cheaper alternative.
