Hello Seniors,

I recently received PP with visa stamped by God grace

Now, my actual VO was New Delhi however during the processing of my file , my file was transfered to Warsaw

Also in my visa, its mentioned visa issue at Warsaw VO

Now , in couple of month I be getting married

Please help me to response on below answer would be very very thankful to you

1. If I land prior to my marriage and then later on after my marriage when I will sponsor my would be spouse , then which VO will process spouse file , NDVO , WVO or Ottawa ? and what is the avergae time they my would be spouse will get Visa ?

2. If I land post my marriage and inform CIC before landing , then in this scenario which Visa office fill process me and my would be spouse file ?

3. Lets say , I sponsor my spouse post marriage and in parallel Can I be able to sponsor my parents ?

Hi,

You can sponsor your wife anytime. I got married just few weeks before medical request. All you would need to submit is the marriage certificate, her passport copy, police certificate, birth certificate and later medical etc - education or work experience won't be required.

So if you simply want to land and come back - better if you apply for her and do the landing together.

As per my knowledge you can only add your spouse in application when its being processed i.e. when they send you MR , or something else. Alternatively you can say before Decision made , in your case visa has been stamped and decision has been made so I would say you need to sponsor your wife through a new procedure .

Please check wife sponsor threads. Time duration depends from visa office to visa office, can be 1 year also

No. If the OP gets married before landing, even if COPR has been issued, he needs to inform CIC & add her to his application. At landing, he is required to declare if his circumstances have changed. He could be refused entry if he declares marriage, or banned for life from sponsoring his wife if he doesn't.

If the OP gets married after landing as a PR, VO will depend on wife's country of residence. See family sponsorship board.

You will have to apply in the visa office of the country where your wife is based. So if she is based in India, she will have to apply in India NDVO. All the application are digital so the visa office can transfer files easily if required.

In this case also you will have to inform the VO of the country where you are based. The visa office will cancel the previous visa and copr and ask you to submit additional application forms to add your wife. You should expect ~6 months for the whole process. if you are not dying to land in Canada or a job is not waiting for you there, then it is best to take this approach as this will help you to travel with your spouse. Sponsoring spouse is a long process may take an year or so (as per previous comments) and the time span for this is uncertain.

3. Lets say , I sponsor my spouse post marriage and in parallel Can I be able to sponsor my parents ?

No idea about this one. I assume that once you become a Canadian citizen (after 3 years I think), you will have the opportunity to bring your parents under the family reunion scheme..

Dear zenghi and all,

1. Some says , adding a spouse post marriage ( before landing ) is risky as applicant has to surrender the visa ( although i have proper documents , only thing worrying for me is, in this case updated prof of funds I need to show as a couple )

Also , I want to know what are the chances of rejection If I follow above option ?

2. Some says its better to land as a Bachelor and then sponsor spouse

I know in the end, choice would be of mine but honestly I couldn't make the decision considering my marriage is not too far ( in first week of Nov ) ???
