On the date CIO receives your initial application, (the date stamped on your AOR letter) police certificates will not be valid for your application process if they where issued more than 3 months before this date. I think it is because they want valid police certificates during the whole process, if they would accept certificates more than 3 months old, these would expire during the process.

Imu - I responded on your earlier thread - your PCC is valid, some people are giving incorrect advice. Not sure what part is unclear - CIO is the Sydney Nova Scotia office.

Let me try another way - your application "lock in" date is the date it is received at CIO-Sydney.

You do NOT send your PCCs to Sydney, but in the 2nd stage to your local visa office. But the lock-in date does not change - it is still the date received at CIO.

PCCs must not be more than 3 months old before the application is received at CIO-Sydney.

dear roger,
thanks a lot roger|_55
actually the instruction was as the following|:
|".When you submit the application to the Visa Office please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months before you submitted your application to the CIO|"
my research here |:when i submit my initial application to CIO, Canada
at 1st stage, ihave to ensure that the PCC is not older that 3 months and it is also a part of the process, later it could be taken as valid when i submit all supporting documents to a visa office . is not it|?

I am still confused Jes and imu

Say CIO Received your Initial App on March 01, 2009 (considering all months are of 30 days in Gregorian Calendar) and they ask you to send other related papers to CHC after 90 days of your Initial app to CIO. Now If I am not wrong, then The PCC must be no more than be obtained Before January 01, 2009 ????

If you apply to CIO on 1st March 2009 your PCC should be issued on or after 1st Dec 2008 (considering all months are of 30 days in Gregorian Calendar) irrespective of when you submit your docs to CHC (say Aug 2009).

Clarified all confusions. Mine was taken a month before I sent my Ini App to CIO, so I am good.
