Hello,

I sent my application on May.10,2016.
ECAS shows the status 'IN PROCESSING' ('we received and started reviewing application") on July.17,2016

Today, I received email from IRCC saying that they need to receive missing information(name, address, telephone #, e-ticket,
proof of payment..etc) from me via IRCC Webform to handle my application as a urgenet processing because I requested for it.

BUT, I have NOT requested for urgent processing via IRCC webform. I stayed in Canada for 750 days before application, I got advice
that I had not better request for urgent processing, otherwise, my case may go to secondary review.

In early July, I just sent a question in IRCC Webform asking how to request for urgent processing after processing started. Looks like IRCC misunderstood what I meant.

today,I sent a message via IRCC Webform that I have NOT requested for urgent processing and I want my application to be processed without delay.
I have a concern that my application would be sit in IRCC's file without being processing at all forever until they receive requested information and document required for urgent processign from me.

Pls advise what I should do ? Should I call IRCC call center to correct their misunderstanding ?

Did you already respond to them? If not, you should avoid saying "I want my application to be processed without delay". This is confusing since the urgent stream is for people who want their applications processed quickly. You should just say that there has been a misunderstanding and you did not request urgent processing - and that your application should be processed through the normal stream.

Hi, Scylla

Thanks for your comment.

Today, I have already responded to IRCC Web form that I have NOT requested for urgent processing, informing IRCC to process my application normally, NOT in urgent processing.

As in my message, I am concerned that my file would be set aside at IRCC forever without being reviewed until they wait for requested information and document(like e-ticket, proof of payment) from me.

should I send my intention again to IRCC Webform and call IRCC call center as well ?
what is the best course of action to take?

thanks in advance for your comment

Today, I called IRCC call center. The agent said that I can ignore IRCC's email saying that they need information required for urgent processing. The agent said that my application would be processed in due course.

Hello,

yes I wish for you that IRCC does process your application within their usual timeline! I mean it.

Though I would like to say that "...I want my application to be processed without delay. ..." is very unfriendly - in my view. People in Canada are pretty much offended for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes it doesn't even matter that English is your second language and you actually didn't mean it the way it was taken. (to be quiet honest I had to get used to that but these days I think we all could work on our style & behavior).

Calling, mailing, asking this asking that etc does only one thing, it interrupts the process.

You gonna be fine, and at the end of the day it takes as long as it takes. My friend is waiting for her PR card (renewal) as well. They started working on it in late April (eCas) this year.

Good luck!!!
