Pleeeeeeze help!!! Can't validate IMM 5669

Hi everyone,

We are having trouble validating IMM 5669. When we try, a warning pops with the red box around the year 2009 under the section where you have to list the dates indicating where and when you lived in a certain place.

If anyone knows how to get past this, please let me know. We would really appreciate it!

We been through this, the form did not like the "ONGOING" box, instead we put the current month and validated ok.
Can you include a screenshot?

Sorry I don't know how to take screenshots, but I do have another question.

When you enter in dates, does the program think you are entering in overlapping dates when you do this:

one line, the date is from 2008/12 to 2009/01

the next line is from 2009/01 to 2009/02

does the program think there are overlaps in the dates?


In other words should we be putting down:

first line 2008/12 to 2009/01

then next line 2009/02 to 2009/02

also is it not acceptable to put on one line 2009/02 to 2009/02 if you were somewhere only for that month

Maybe you have to put 2009/02 to 2009/03?

If you or anyone else knows, please post.

This form is driving us crazy!!!!

The form has nothing to do with overlapping, it only checks if you have filled the required fields.

Remove the "ongoing" x and put this month and year in the date field

How to validate form 5669 ? I dont see a button/section to validate the form.

I tried to upload the form and it is throwing an error. Moreover i received a message to update form 5669 for my wife and the upload option is open under my details, is it strange ?

Perhaps yours in paper-based. The electronic ones have two blue buttons clearly labelled "validate form" on them.

Received an email from CIC quoting they need revised form for my wife and gave a link - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5669E.pdf

This is paper-based. I don't know the process for a paper-based one. Suppose you print off sign and post it in?

Why would the immigration ask for the updated IMM5669 form..... it is already done with the application and they are asking for it again... Im so confused...

To fill your form and validate, use eimm5669 instead of imm5669. Just google it or search copying the exact link provided on your letter into your browser.

I have the same problem, having difficulty in submitting the Schedule A or eIMM5669 form. I am really struggling on this part. Please kindly advised. Does my wife who is the sponsor has to fill up also?

I have the exact problem you had. Could you let me know what you did to resolve the issue?

Changing the "ongoing" to 2017 07 did not work to resolve the issue for me.

I am having the same issue.

If I put 2015/05 to 2018/05
then 2015/01 to 2015/05
I get error on the year of 2015/01.
this is frustrating;
I tried changing the months around but it keeps on going to the year
Can you not put 2 separate entries for the same year? or you can be working and studying at the same time will the form not take this?

Any help would appreciate
