Pledging asset for proof of funds?

Hi Folks,
I am relying on the Gold my family has. I am going to pledge the Gold and put the money in Fixed deposit to get a certificate to show to CIC. Is this acceptable. Do I need any additional documents or explanation as the Fund would have appeared all of a sudden in my bank account.

The documents regarding selling of gold may be required, if VO ask for source of deposit.

In addition to this i need to know about the POF.I am principle applicant(for FSWP 2013) do i only need to show only 11115 $ for myself or we are family of 3 have to show 17011$ whether they are not accompanying me..Thanks

If u r not accompanying them, u have to justify with documentaion

3 members have to show 17k funds

You are making a mistake by creating FD currently and showing same to CIC

When u submit FD, it will show date of issue and maturity date. Date of issue will create problem for u and they may ask source of funds for same

Create a saving account(temporary) giving some interest rate. Take a bank certificate (not statement) show the balance as on particular date. Later on withdraw funds and put it to FD

I did the same thing what coolguy2010 is suggesting and it's acceptable at the time of submission of full documents and i have this'll be acceptable now also. I would also pledge some gold or may be take some money from my dad or friends and put it in bank and provide bank certificate (not statement).

For couple u need around 12k Ca$

Application. Fees 550 CA$ for each.

Dear could you please tell me that for a Family (does it mean dependents like wife and child or parents brother sisters).I am single and my family include father mother sister bro 4 person do i need 23K$ as POF.
