I was studying in canada before and my study permit expired so i came back to pakistan. Now i want to apply again. i have stayed in canada for a total of 1 year and 8 months. so do i still have to do ielts again to apply?

1. If you are re-applying for a study permit ONLY to continue and finish your course, thn IELTS is not required.
2. If you are applying for a study permit for a new course/program and there is a gap of more thn 24 months with your previous IELTS test, you need to take it again.
IELTS TRF is valid for 24 months.

but last time when i applied i did not give IELTS as i was already in canada as a visitor and my collge did not require one so i am good to apply without IELTS right?

Might I ask you what's your current status ?
1. Prospective student intending to apply for a new course from your country.
2. Continuing student aspiring for a new study permit in order to complete current course.
If it's option 1, you need IELTS to meet the requirement of CHC. (and also you no longer holds visitor status)
If it's option 2, IELTS not required.
yes enfield i am continuing my program. one more thing i did not give IELTS when i applied last time instead the college told me to do thier on entrance test. so would that be fine if i do not includes IELTS as i dont have one and now i think its to late to give it
