I would like to get some clarifications for the following - our family application has been received by CIC and in my personal case when I check application's status online I do have the following lines:

Applicant Citizenship Application Status:

XXXXXXX YYYYYYY Received
XXXXXXX YYYYYYY In Process

meanwhile the rest of the family has just one line - "In Process".

What that exactly mean? Why my wife and kids don't have "Received" line when they open their's pages. Thanks for all your answers.

I think because you pay the fees for the family application , if you open the received line you will find a statement saying the we received the payment, along with one or more citizenship application . and I think you included one receipt , keep monitoring the receive line and once it disappeared from your view that time either the background check has complete or the application transferred to the local office of cic

HighFive , nothing to worry just chill as Saloo explained you got received line because you are primary application who paid the fees on behalf of your entire family citizenship package.

You are still too early in race so give some time and wait ...

Next step you will see received line disappear meaning fees has been applied to your application and then after 2 months you will see in process for all your applicants ECASE update. Here in process means your background check completed your file is already transferred to local office and now someone is looking at it may be the officer... he will chill for some months on it based on his workload or he may match you against traig criteria.. meaning if you have applied citizenship second time after previous withdrawal or are self employed or have many US trips or you are home maker etc.. once he decides to give you RQ you file is pushed out of queue.

blueshirt, hopefully there will be no RQs in our case. We are 100% qualified for Canadian citizenship.
