Hello guys.. I have a doubt regarding my wife's job experience . She has worked for 4 years as a software engineer in a firm with NOC code 2173 and for 5 months as web designer for another firm with NOC code 2175. We have made our profile and used both the noc codes in it. Do we need to provide only one noc code as in the second job she does not have 1 year full experience. Can we change her information in our my profile now? We have not yet received ITA. Will it be questionable later on when we get our ITA. Please suggest us in this situation.

Hi, no need to complicate things. I'm assuming your wife is the primary applicant. The 5 months experience under NOC 2175 will not add you any points. Remove that from your wife's work history. Select NOC 2173 as your main noc and only put that job in your work history. This way you will only have to provide one experience/reference letter.

The 5 months experience will become relevant when you are completing the personal history section, where you have to specify everything your wife (and you) have done the last 10 years. You only to have to ensure you include it here.

Ok thanks a lot that really helps so do we need to provide any proof of work for the information for the NOC code 2175 in personal history after ITA?. Also one more thing I have worked for 13 years in a firm in Dubai but I have not mentioned my work history in dependent column as I'm not the primary applicant. Do I need to mention my work history under personal history column and provide any proof regarding that after ITA? Kindly suggest

You would not need to provide proof of work for 2175. Things you only mention in personal history do not require evidence. You only have to provide proof for things you are claiming points for (work history, education history, etc).

For the spouse's work experience (yours in this case), points can only be claimed if the experience was in Canada, otherwise it doesn't net you any points. Since yours was in Dubai, you will not get any points for it and only have to include it in the personal history section, thus, no proof is required.

Wow thanks a lots that is really helpful . So can we can change that information in the EE Profile and will it be of any problem at the ITA Stage . Can we remove 2175 from work history now. I am asking because someone told me that I cannot change my information in my profile after uploading it.? Thanks

Drastically changing the information you previously provided might raise some flags in the future, but you are not doing that.

You just realized you do not gain any points for the 5 months job so no need to have it in work history. You can safely go ahead and change it. Do it now, after ITA, your profile is locked and it'd be a bit more difficult to make changes.

That's why I spoke to my agent . He said that even if you let it be in the work history column they will automatically consider the work history of the job which was done for more than 3-4 years, but do we have to give the reference letter for both the jobs. Is it true?
I am really confused and I don't want to make a lot of changes in my profile as it might create some confusion at the later stage.

If you leave it in work history, you will have to provide an experience/reference letter. Nothing wrong with that, but you are just adding unnecessary documents.

You can safely remove it and only put it in personal history. Lots of people have done it, you can search similar cases in this forum.

Hmm makes sense but wouldn't they question me or can they question me whether why have I removed it and stuff. I know it's legit but you never know but honestly even I feel I should put it in the work history column?

guys,
What are the conditions to select primary noc job code in application?
Do I need to have 3 years experience in primary job code alone ?
My experience is as below:
2011 to apr 2017: job code 2283
Apr 2017 to till date( 2.1 yrs): code 2171
Can I Choose 2171 as primary job code?

Which one is in more demand in terms of pnp nominations, 2283 or 2171? How can I check this?

Hi according to me I think in the firm in which you have worked longer , you should provide that and at the later stage ( ITA ) they will ask for reference letters etc .
