please someone suggest me what should i do now........

my application was started on march 17,2009 from my mother who is in canada for family class sponsorship...we have already send medical report as well as passport on 18th july but i think till now we should have already got the visa, but i am still waiting so can someone tell me still how long i have to wait for my visa?????

You did not mention where your application is processed.
I don't think you are getting delayed after the passport submission as it is even not a month. You have to wait at least 6 weeks..

applications thru New Dehli takes about 3-6mths to finalize on avg

Please explain your situation a bit more as dependent kids dont take as long as u have outlined

Your mother is sponsoring you? Are you a dependant child or an adult?


Your best thing to do is to check out the Canada Citizenship and Immigration website for processing times and search for the situation that best applies to you. However, if you are an adult then from a quick look it looks like New Delhi can take up to 61 months....that is assuming you fall into the "other family member" catagory of the family class sponsorship

THANK U chrispeach,kedeisha,dd0bro2,wilson.staky, guys but i just want to tell u something that its already been more than two years..we don't have anyone to look after us...so we are in trouble right now...our process has started in 2009 march 18 but still we haven't got visa ...though we have already submitted medical and passport..then also how long we have to wait for our visa..can u all please suggest me what should i do now???????

I would really think one way to look into this is for your mom (not sure if she is a citizen or PR but in any case) to contact her local MP and tell him that it's been 2 years! what have your communications with the New Delhi visa office consisted of? have you asked them if they require any other documents from you (such as redoing medicals that may have perhaps expired) or what stage the processing is in? I've been on trackitt and sadly cases of parents & grandparents and dependent children sponsorships often do take two years or more
