You'll get a response within 1 month.
I got my passport req after 1 month of medical and than when I submitted my passport I got my visa after 3 days.

Thank you so much, medical request doesn't determine approval/refusal right? I heard its issued once the visa office is content that we've sent in all the required documents, that's all

Yes, the medical office does not determine the decision of the application.
It is solely based on the Canadian embassy.
However, after medical has cleared I've never heard of any application being declined/rejected.
Do keep your timeline up to date.

how did you guys know you passed the medical? are we supposed to get an email? i didnt apply online so idk if i can still check it on cic
