hi.. i am an aspiring immigrant to canada and our application is still under completeness verification stage (i know, we still have a long way to go ).. i have read that some people advise new immigrants to take 'survival jobs' at first as many employers ask for canadian experience..

i'm interested to know: what was it like on your first job there in canada? was it a friendly work place or not? please share your experiences..
