Please share timeline for people who sent their file in March 2012

I saw CIC asked Jan/FeB 2012 applicants to redo their medical. I guess we should remind them before they ask us to redo it, but don't know what should we tell them exactly though.

Any idea what would be a good reminder for them?

I emailed them and they said they would extend our medicals so we dont need to redo it.....

My RPRF request due date is April 26th, this Friday,
And I did my medical last year May 2,2012.
Do you guys think I have to remind them?

in the email:
Medical results: Please note that we will be requesting an extension of the validity of these results, to minimize the number of applicants who will be required to undertake new medical examinations.

I applied in the first week of Feb 2012. Last week I got an email asking for RPRF. I immediately paid it online. After that I got another email asking to re-do medicals. This is taking on forever. Has anyone else also received such emails to submit RPRF and then re-do medicals?

My timeline is as follows:

My application was received on March 12, 2012.

They started processing my application on March 18, 2013.

They requested me to pay the RPRF and asked for an update of personal history since March 2012 on March 12, 2013. Both of which was sent across to them on March 21, 2013.

Medical results have been received (this was updated on April 11, 2013)

For those people who got the request for Personal Histories, what did you have to provide? Was it a form that needs to be filled and sent to CIC?
I am thinking of just sending in my personal history since I applied in February 2012 so that I can speed up the process a little bit.

I sent a letter for extending the medical and the current status 20 minutes ago, and I got the email back in 10 minutes! Surprise...
But they said in progress, what is that mean.......??!

Here is their response:

Dear Sir/Madam,



Your file is currently in progress at our office. We have received your RPRF. A request to extend your medical results has been sent; if you are required to undergo new medicals an officer responsible for your file will contact you.



In meantime, please ensure your contact information is up to date.



We thank you for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Your Medical is not expired, it gona expire in May. Why they have sent for extension?

I sent the letter to remind them my medical is gonna expired, and ask for if I can get the extension.

I believe there is no standardized form for this. I just typed up a letter indicating my current title, organization name and adress, home address.

I have seen December applicants getting PR.

December applicants..... OMO... it is killing me.
I don't know what they mean by in progress, I think it means " we got your file but we have not start it yet.."

two of my friends got PPR .. one applied in october 2012 and other in november 2012 ... only after of their medicals got received they got passport requests ... and in our cases its been over an year and still no action ... my due date is may 7, 2013 .. i am not expecting anything !!

This is not a new story a lot of people who applied after us already landed in canada...the applicants who has been transfered from nova scotia to cpp-o they r stuck..but almost everyone in this forum got some letter from cic except me.i dont know when they will start to process my application...

ive got no update on my case too since medicals last may ..
