Hi Friends

My husband has applied for the Study visa for canada along with my(his spouse) Open Work Permit application to Abu Dhabi consulate office. If we get visa approvals, he will be moving to Canada in Aug'08. With God's blessing ill be delivering my baby in July'08 and probably I will not be moving along with him and will join him in 3-4 months.

I have some concerns and would appreciate your point wise replies to my queries as under:

1) We have not submitted our medical test reports as we both qualify the criteria mentioned on site as "Exceptions are for those applicants who have been residing in Kuwait or the United Arab Emirates, for more than 6 months within the year prior to submitting their application and we being Kuwait residents from last 4 years ...

Now my question is that if still visa officer asks to submit Medical Report for me (applying for Open Work Permit), what is the possibility of getting visa approval avoiding delay in visa processing by explaining my present situation (being pregnant) and requesting him that reports will be submitted after my delivery... .. how much the explanation would be helpful OR what could be the best possible way to tackle the situation??

And will due to any reason delay in my Open Work Permit application can cause delay in processing of study visa application for my husband??

2) If I get Open Work Permit am I eligible to apply for dependent visa for my baby from India OR only my husband (On Study Visa) can apply for dependent visa for our baby from canada?

Please share in your precious views..

Thanks & Regards.

1. Without a medical your OWP if approved will be restricted to jobs that do not involve children, hospital, food preparation etc.
2. Once the child is born, you will have to apply for a TRV for the child, since (assuming your spouse is already in Canada with his study permit) as he cannot apply for a TRV from Canada. If you return to India for the birth, CHC will probably insist that you both have medicals.
