Hey guys
I am applying for study permit next week, can you please assess my profile and suggest if there's anything I should be careful of:
Age= 26 years
10th grade= 51%
12th grade= 76% (commerce with maths)
Then in 2003, I enrolled in full time Economics (Hons) at Delhi University, I cleared 1st year but failed in 2nd year exams coz of illness and then I dropped out of the course. This happened in 2005.
Then in 2005, I enrolled in B.com(pass) from correspondence at Delhi University, I graduated in 2008 with 50% (2nd division).
Then in Jan 2009, I went to England for Masters degree in International Business. I graduated from there in June 2010 and I got 60% in my dissertation.
During my studies in England, I worked part time for 1 year in a call centre.
After my Masters degree, I couldn't find a good job for 6-7 months. Then I finally got a good job in a leading UK bank in sales, I worked there for 1 full year.
I have come back to Delhi in June 2012 (My UK visa is valid till Sep 2012). I am now applying for study permit for Lakehead University (under university category) where I will be studying MSc Management, so it will be my second masters.
Now, I am taking an education loan which is 85% of my total requirement. Rest will be paid from an FD which is in my mum's name.
My dad owns a few properties which are quite good in value but he doesn't work anymore so he doesnt pay any income tax since years. But, he gets rental income from couple of properties.
I also have my own savings from working in the UK which are around 4-5 lacs INR.
Now, should I mention in my application that I enrolled in Economics (hons.) but dropped out in 2nd year? or should I hide it? And if I hide it, how can I explain the gap of those 2 years?
Also, will my travel history create a problem since Ive lived in UK for 3 n a half years (by the way, Ive visited my family 5 times in that time and I have also travelled to Paris, Italy and Thailand in that time.)
I also have my real sister who is a green card holder in the USA. I have another elder sister who lives here in Delhi.
Suggestions please!!
thanks in advance everyone
