Please review my profile for MS in mechanical

I am a student of Btech from National Institute of technology, Srinagar
Btech:: 7.9 CGPA (absolute)
12th :: 96%
10th :: 97.8%
Two crappy internships, Learnt a lot but its india u know. no big names
3 certifications (by an ISO certified training institute)

Academically you are OK. But other factors are equally important- IELTS, Finance, which university, property in your name, other ties to home country etc.

I am looking to get into universities (public) rather than private institutions.
Property and finance is not a problem ( if 30-40 lacs INR is taken as a figure)
But the thing is, i will graduate in july 2018... so, i would be able to apply in 2018 only.
So, it is certain that i will have a gap. Thats bugging me.. any suggestion regarding that.
P.S. I am a mechanical engineering student

Gaps upto 1 year is permissible. You'll have to make clear explanation in sop.
