my name is kapil sharma, i am from india recently my canadian visa under SPP got rejected, i had taken admission for diploma in health office administration in conestoga college, kitchener, ontario, i was doomed by this..
my profile is as follows 10th- 77%
12th - 65%
B.D.S aggregate - 65%
my IELTS score is 7 bands
this is clear to me that i can't apply under SPP again, so m planning to apply under general category..
the reason they gave was you have not satisfied me that you will leave canada by the end of the period authrized for ur stay because :
“Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of the following : your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, other educational opportunities available in India (the country of the applicant) or Canada, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans”... plz help me what to do, some of my frnds with same profile got the visa in same course and college. how to prepare my file for general plz help me... all hero members and seniors my request please reply as soon as possible

You have shared your academic profile, and it seems reasonable. But since the VO has mentioned about your studies and home ties, please let us know how much bank statement did you show? Also did you show your home ties in the application? What does BDS stand for? I am not from India so I am not very familiar with the term. But it seems to me that BDS is a bachelors and you applied for a diploma. You may also want to rectify this. Please share your complete profile so that you can be assisted better.

thank you sir for your reply, BDS stands as bachelor of dental surgery, i applied for this diploma course as this 2 year course provides me a open work permit of 3 years, i applied for this course as it is related to medical field, plz tell me m thinking of reapplying under general categort please tell me the documents needed by me.

under SPP i put forwarded 17.85 lacs loan letter, moreover i show 21 lacs in bank account.. plz tell me how applying in general category different with SPP, i made a big mistake by not puting my SOP into it..

SOP is main thing buddy.
It mentions
1) Why you have chosen canada for study
2) What are prospectives after this course (In this you need to show that you will explore your skills in home country)
3) opportunities are quite more in dentistry in my home country and show some web link as a proof.


I have just applied with these things and waiting for results.
and you are right it happens that same profile of others might get visa.

Your refusal reason is because of silly course selection.You are a Bachelor degree holder and inspired to study Post secondary diploma. It does not make any sense.It does not show your are going in canada to upgrade your knowledge.

next time select atleast PG level course or master.

I would advice you to go for a higher degree - like Masters or PG...as you already done ur bachelors...

Kapil, Come on man you are a Dentist and choosing health office administration, VO are not foolish people.

There might be chances if you have selected dental assistant or dental hygiene diploma.

I am pretty sure your agent had advised this to you and you follow him blindly and choose health office administration.

From next time, use your brain as well.

friends thanx for your usefull suggestions, i did reapply with the same course under general category, as i was left with no other option, with the same reason they refused it, this time i do attached a strong SOP in support of the course and college, but all in vain..
i am very dissapointed ryt now... i have few questions to all my seniors on this forum plz ans them..
1) after getting refussal twice for the canadian study permit wat you guys think of visa in my third attempt??
2) this time m looking for a masters program i.e MAS master in administrative sciences in global health from fairleigh dickson university, vancouver, bc, canada wat u people think of my visa prospects this time for jan 2013 intake..?
3)MAS master in administrative sciences in global health from fairleigh dickson university, vancouver how u see this university reputation, job prospects, and connection from my field i am a dental surgeon..?
4) for this university i will be applying under universiyy category, my chances for visa??
5)this is a master course so how u friends take it??

my friend got visa after two rejections! they only he did was that he fulfilled all the requirements for previous rejection. So, applying for the third time will not affect your visa if you meet up with the requirement suggested by VO. Master program will help sell your application and makes it strong.

@Kapil: I really don't understand why you are applying to such courses. I can bet that you will get rejected again if you apply to the proposed course you have written in the university.

You should simply apply for Masters in Dentistry. If you don't get admission in graduate studies in masters in Canada then simply don't apply. You already are a dentist and have good prospects everywhere in the world. Just don't waste your qualification to get to Canada.

Still IF you are so eager to go abroad. Try to take the license exam tests in UK, NZ, Aus or Can, so that you can practice there. And if you don't want to take the license exam get into a good relevant course which will give your career a boast not just your geographical location. Trust me if you go into such programs, you are only wasting your time, money and career.

Visa had been filled for Students visa but it has got rejected and the reason was as given below:
