* Please read and help - Changing of NOC Code from 2173 to 2174 - Need suggestions

Hi friends,
I have some doubts regarding my wife's NOC Code . Currently we are in the pool with NOC code 2173 and with further checking upon the job duties we came to know that my wife's duties are matching more with NOC 2174 . But initially we were told by our agent that it matches with 2173 . So can we change it to 2174 as we are in the pool since last year and would be there any questions raised later at the time of ITA regards to to the sudden change of NOC code and is it normal to do such changes to our profile. And how do we change it? Do we make a new profile ??? Kindly suggest . Thanks

Hi,
you can change your NOC code in occupation part in your application , but be very careful , because you have to change it in your work history , too. otherwise you will be found ineligible suddenly and therefor you will need to create a new profile.

I'm ready to make a new profile all together with a different NOC Code but I'm scared if ill be answerable at the later stage of why this sudden change

I am not sure about it.I hope u will find your answer , because this is my answer , too. I changed my NOC. but I suppose we can declare that we realized our NOC code is something else based on our job duties

Oh ok cool great thanks so basically I should delete my profile and make a new one with a different NOC Code . I'm also afraid that's why need suggestions. I hope it doesn't go against me as my situation is legit.

I changed my NOC code from 2173 to 2174 after ITA and I mentioned why in the LOE.. that should hopefully suffice

Ok great thanks but I think I should do it before I get my ITA so that it becomes easier for me at a later stage and what response did you get from the immigration upon changing your NOC code after ITA ?

I'm nearly at the 6 month estimate for PR processing. Haven't received PPR yet but they never requested any additional documentation from me. I think the LOE was enough. When I called their helpline, I was told that my changed NOC code was mentioned by my case officer in his notes, so they definitely acknowledged it, and don't think they had any problems with it. That being said, again, I haven't received my PPR and even I have fears of rejection (or maybe that's just my paranoia). In any case, if you haven't already made any payment for PR after ITA, and you have a decent enough EE score, then I suggest you just start over and re-enter the pool and make a clean profile. I personally wish I did that now because it leaves lesser room for doubt. But otherwise, I don't think it should be an issue..

Hmm cool I guess I should create a new one . We are in the pool since last year October so I guess if I change it now It shouldn't be a problem for us.
